Chinese Medicine, when you make a tea from herbs from a Chinese Medicine Practitioner….?

I got a perscription from a Chinese Medicine Doc today for skin issues, and to start she gave me a bunch of herbs to make a tea to drink twice a day. She told me how to brew it, but I have a question on how to drink it by the book. There is alot of sediment once I strain it through a metal mesh strainer, should I drink the sediment, or next time should I strain it through cloth?

Has anyone here ever had a diagnosis from a Chinese Medicine practitioner?

Does anyone know how much it expenditure just for the diagnosis? And if you got the treatment, did it really work?

Is it a risk to carry chinese Medicine without prescription in flight from US to India?

I m taking treatment with some chinese medicine. I m roving to india now and want to take it with me. will it be a come forth if i take it with me without prescription? I ordinarily dont have prescription as teh doc herself prepares the medicine combo for us.

Has anyone got hyperthyroidism from Chinese medicine?

I Have been feeling dizzy lately and my heart rate keeps raising.
I had my blood tested and i have hyperthyroidism. It just started recently and i was taking Chinese medicine for depression and anxiety. I have been off the medicine fore a couple of weeks know and im still dizzy. Has anyone had there problems with chinese herbs?

Any difference between herbs from a traditional chinese medicine dr. and herbs/vitiams purchased from a store?

I have been below the care of a traditional chinese medicine doctor and its quite expensive..$10.00 per day for the herbs, which I cook in a pot and then drink. He tells me his herbs are better and more powerful than persons bought from any shape food/drug store. Is this right?
